Cancer Prevention Vulval

Vulval cancer is more common in the elderly. Treating the cancer early has a good prognosis. Unfortunately majority of the times, women present quite late with a big tumour on the vulva. Almost all vulval cancers start off with skin changes. These changes in the appearance of the skin such as a white or red patch associated with itch, pain, irritation can then lead to a cancer. The key is to see a cancer specialist when a person is experiencing the symptoms, in which case the process of skin changes turning into a cancer can be reversed with medication.
