Definition: Cervical cancer arises from the cells lining the cervix, the lower part of the uterus.
Risk Factors:
HPV Infection: Major risk factor.
Smoking: Increases the risk.
Immunosuppression: Puts women at higher risk.
Types: Squamous cell carcinomas and adenocarcinomas.
Presentation: Abnormal vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain.
Treatment: Surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.
