Dr Sai Daayana has spent 18 years as a gynaecologist in the United Kingdom where she has strongly imbibed the UK medical culture and holistic approach to medicine. She was awarded MRCOG in 2002 (runner-up for the prize medal); she was awarded MD degree by the University of Manchester for her research on HPV in female genital tract; she also underwent Royal college approved sub-specialty training in gynae-oncology for 4 years as a clinical lecturer at the Christie hospital (Europe’s largest cancer treatment centre). She worked as a consultant in gynae-oncology at St James Institute of Oncology, Leeds (Europe’s largest teaching hospital) between 2013 and 2016.
Dr Sai Daayana is an expert in the surgical management of ovarian, endometrial, cervical and vulval cancers by open, laparoscopic or robotic routes. In addition she has thorough knowledge of cancer screening, cancer risk-reducing prophylactic surgery, fertility sparing cancer surgery for patients diagnosed with ovarian or cervical cancer. She is an expert in the management of intraepithelial neoplasia and HPV related infections of the female genital tract corroborated by extensive research and publications in this !eld. She is a member of European and British gynaecology cancer associations.
